Clonmel's big day will have many wondering how ground conditions will be after Gordon Elliott's comments regarding Down Royal at the weekend and several trainers' withdrawal of runners.A couple of big names are at Clonmel, though the likely prices of the favourites in the two big races will not encourage betting turnover. Clonmel will hope that Willie Mullins is happy to run his horses on ground with good in the going description.Over at Newbury, Henry de Bromhead has one runner in a race won last year by one Haiti Couleurs.
3.45 Clonmel: Party President
David O'Sullivan, a restauranteur who also trains horses, has run seven this season and three of those have managed to win with Party President bidding to make it four.
He won at Clonmel for Tony Mullins and I felt his stable debut at Killarney, his local track, was perfectly encouraging, even if he was beaten 24 lengths. He appeals each-way.
