12.32 Ludlow: Shot Boii
I backed Shot Boii last time out and, despite running in snatches he always looked like he was going to stay on and land the place money after going off the well-backed 3-1 favourite.
That was the first time the talented Pipe claimer Rian Corcoran had ridden him and, back on here, hopefully he will be able to get him to travel a little better.
Shot Boii is up against a field of largely out of form runners and looks far the most attractive option. He has generally been consistent over fences and this mark of 95 definitely looks like a level he can win off.
2.17 Ludlow: Move With The Beat
I rate 7lb claimer Isabelle Ryder highly and look closely at all her mounts.
She looked like she was going to work her magic on this horse last time, when travelling up smoothly to challenge at the last.
Unfortunately, Move With The Beat landed too steeply and fell, adding another letter to an impressive line of form figures which might make up a Scrabble hand.
Ryder is back on board, and I am happy to back the pair to make amends this time.
2.52 Ludlow: Tour Ovalie
Tour Ovalie has won twice over this course and distance and has a great chance of making it three in this decent mares’ handicap.
It was a mares’ only event she won on her penultimate start but a higher grade than on Thursday.
She fared very well in a similar higher grade mares’ event at Newbury last time, finishing third in a well-run race and ahead of two last time out winners.
That was a strong performance, and she looks good enough to pick up the winning thread this time.
