The Verdict: "I think Thundering On would have won the Derby"

Top Racing TV presenter Angus McNae was wowed by how Thundering On won the Betfred Oaks and believes she would have won the Derby had she instead run at Epsom 24 hours later.
The Jospeh O'Brien-trained filly won with a swagger on Friday, leading on the bridle before sprinting clear for an easy win.
It was the manner in which she travelled through the race and then dipped inside 12 seconds in the final furlong, when her rivals were all slowing, that had Angus drooling.
