The Jockey Club announces purchase of 12 fixtures from Chelmsford

The Jockey Club has today announced the purchase of 12 fixtures from the administrators of Chelmsford City Racecourse following a competitive bidding process.
Jim Mullen, The Jockey Club’s Chief Executive, said: “We are pleased to add the 12 fixtures previously owned by Chelmsford City Racecourse to our racing schedule from 2027, as part of our commitment to maintain a healthy programme of racing across our tracks which supports and reflects all aspects of the pyramid that serves our sport.
"Our priority is now to work with the BHA to allocate these fixtures to racecourses within The Jockey Club."
