Danny Archer is joined by Tom Stanley and Jake Price for the latest episode of The Formbook, bought to you by Coral. The trio look ahead to all the action on day two of the Cheltenham Festival and share their selections. Watch the full episode below.
The BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase was among the races studied by the team, with Majborough the current market leader, and Jake Price commented: "That performance he put in in the first time cheekpieces, he concentrated a lot more, he visually jumped a lot better, and given an aggressive ride by Mark Walsh, he absolutely destroyed Marine Nationale.
"If the ground is soft or has soft in the description he's going to take a lot of beating because he clearly thrives in these conditions.
"Il Etait Temps is the one who would interest me at the prices. I think he just wants a bit of spring ground to jump out of it a bit better. The ground at Ascot looked like he couldn't quite jump out of it as well as he can and if they can get him back after his and fall at Ascot, he might come into it himself."
Other races in focus include the Turners Novices' Hurdle, where Tom Stanley "just cannot see" a leading contender winning, whilst Danny Archer also says one of the leading fancies for the Champion Bumper "has got absolutely no chance."
