Angus McNae: My Sunday tips for Hamilton and Leopardstown

Our Sunday columnist Angus McNae takes aim at the opening fixture of this year's Sky Bet Sunday Series from Hamilton Park and a quality card from Leopardstown. Enjoy all the action live on Racing TV.
A winner at Hamilton from three selections last week secured a profit here on the Sunday column and hopefully there will be more success this week with four selections.
The excellent Sky Bet Sunday series returns live from Hamilton on Racing TV where I fancy a couple of Grant Tuer-trained horses. We will also be showing an excellent card from Leopardstown and I believe Ryan Moore can rode a double there.
Ryan Moore has enjoyed a very successful week at Chester and can ride another winner aboard History here - at a track where the rider boasts a 28% strike rate.
This well-bred Galileo filly had three starts last season and won on her final appearance, travelling strongly and quickening up well at Gowran to win in a fast time. Now pitched in at Group Three level, she looks well up to task based on her latest timefigure.
History holds four Group One entries and this could be a stepping stone to much better things. Aidan O Brien won this last year with Joan of Arc and has landed three of the last 10 renewals. History should be supported with confidence.
Aidan O Brien has won this Derby Trial for the last three years and he can repeat the feat with Stone Age.
He won with a good deal in hand in a fast time at Navan on his seasonal reappearance and thrashed his maiden opposition by nine lengths without having to fully extend. He was entitled to do that given that he finished second in the Group 1 Criterium de St Cloud last year as a juvenile.
Stone Age looked like a strong stayer that day and eventually should have no problem staying 12 furlongs. An easy win here could see him force himself into the Derby picture.
16.48 Hamilton: King Triton
He is potentially well-handicapped and the first of my two selections from the Grant Tuer yard.
King Triton has only run three times for his current yard after leaving Roger Varian and performed with credit each time without ever being able to realise his full potential. His seasonal reappearance saw him finish third at Ripon to the useful Hortzadar where he made the running before weakening late on as if he needed the run. He was not given a hard time and therefore should be a lot sharper npw.
He still has to explore the trips beyond a mile which should suit him, so it follows that a strongly-run affair here over an extended eight furlongs would really suit him.
18.18 Hamilton: Emaraty Hero
He looks to be very well treated on some of last season's form and with a recent run behind him looks set to go very close here.
Emaraty Hero won at Musselburgh and York in a light campaign last term and his Knavesmire performance was particularly noteworthy, winning decisively and in a fast time off Off a mark of 74 and still looks well in now off a 6lb-higher mark.
This strong stayer will be suited by this stiff track and the 1m5f trip and shaped as if he'd returned in cracking form at Doncaster last time after being poorly positioned in a slowly-run race. He is a strong selection here.
