1.50 Leopardstown: Mange Tout
Tipster: Martin Dixon.
I'm going to suggest backing
Mange Tout to confirm the form with Narciso Has, who she defeated at Fairyhouse in November.
I simply think she's a value play at the prices (3-1, at the time of writing) and that price, against the odds-on favourite, is too much of a discrepancy.
I do acknowledge she had race fitness on her side at Fairyhouse, but I still thought she picked up and pulled away from Narciso Has pretty readily there.
Gordon Elliott's charge is a well-bred filly - she's a half-sister to Impaire Et Passe - and she's also better off at the weights here.
The market appears to be factoring in that race fitness edge last time, and that may prove to be the case, with Narciso Has also scoring on his latest start, and he could be the bigger improver.
However, Mange Tout is a filly who has done nothing wrong, and I would rather back her here at the odds on offer.
I will also be having a small bet on Manje Tout for the JCB Triumph Hurdle ahead of Monday.
2.25 Leopardstown: Wendrock
Tipster: Ross Millar.
He’s been in my Racing TV Tracker since finishing strongly in last year's Fred Winter, and he appeared badly handicapped last season.
I thought a step up in trip would bring about further improvement, and that opinion was hardened after his latest outing where he stayed on late over 2m4f in a Listed contest.
Josh Williamson is a new addition to the conditional ranks, and is good value for his 5lb, which is another plus.
3.30 Leopardstown: I Am Maximus
Tipster: Dave Nevison.
I don’t often stray outside of handicaps for my bets, but I am a huge fan of this horse and he looks overpriced at about 14-1, at the time of writing.
I have rewatched last year’s
Grand National and his latest run in the Savills Chase and feel he might well have won both races with a slightly different ride.
He didn’t get anything like as clear a run in the National, when defending his crown, and was shuffled back after the Canal turn. He then passed half the field very quickly, too quickly for me and after just about hitting the front he ran out of puff close home.
It was a similar story last time where once again he passed the whole field too soon and got hampered by the winner at the last.
Jack Kennedy takes over on him and if he can hold on to him a bit longer, then the combination could be in business. I will be disappointed if, at the very least, he is not in the first four. Heavy ground suits him well.

4.05 Leopardstown: Addragoole and Battle Of Ridgeway
Tipster: Andy Stephens.
The Gavin Cromwell-trained novice, Addragoole, made an instant impact when switched to handicap ranks last time, landing a 20-runner affair at Leopardstown over Christmas.
He sauntered to the front that day and, despite hanging a bit to his left and idling, seemed to win with plenty to spare.
The handicapper has pushed him up 10lb but that is partly offset by Staples' claim.
I'm going to split my stakes in the race and also support Battle Of Ridgeway, who barely came off the bridle when winning on bad ground at Navan last time.
The form looks solid, too, as the runner-up, trained by Willie Mullins, was going for a hat-trick of wins and the third home has since won twice.
Battle Of Ridgeway missed an intended run at Naas early last month because of coughing - the horse who finished third to him at Navan took the spoils - but at least he has avoided going up further up the weights and he will have had more time to refresh his batteries.
Liam McKenna keeps the ride, so Battle Of Ridgeway has only 10st 1lb to shoulder, albeit he is in better company.
4.40 Leopardstown: Rojuco Mac
Tipster: Johnny Ward.
