Our top tipster and analyst Angus McNae has four best bets at Pontefract on Sunday - see how they fare live on Racing TV. 2.55 Pontefract: Point Lynas
Point Lynas won this race last year and he looks set to win after a fast time second place in the Group Two Summer Mile at Ascot.
He is the only horse in the race who makes the running and promises to get an easy lead which will make him very hard to run down.
This represents a drop in grade for this consistent performer, who looks set to make all and land the Pomfret Stakes for a second time.
3.25 Pontefract: Raulin
Raulin takes on older horses in a handicap for the first time and can take advantage of the three-year-old weight allowance.
His latest effort over 12 furlongs is best ignored given that he failed to stay. He is better judged by a win over this trip against his own age group at Redcar and he can regain the winning thread here.
3.55 Pontefract: Charming Princess
This well-bred twice-raced filly has been found a simple task here and should deliver.
She was an excellent second to High Degree at Ffos Las last time out, pulling eight lengths clear of the third in what was a fast time for the grade. This looks to be a winnable maiden and a repetition of her latest effort will be good enough.
4.55 Pontefract: Flavius Titus
Flavius Titus won this race last year off a 4lb higher mark. He ran well last time out when fourth at Ripon and looks ready to strike off this mark.
He is a hold up sprinter who needs plenty of pace to go at and, given that there is plenty of early pace, he should have a race run to suit his style. He will be late on the scene but is handicapped to win.
