Sunday tips: Angus McNae has four fancies for Wetherby

2.30 Wetherby: Coma Cluster

Finished: 6thSP: 11/4
This well-bred filly showed improved form when encountering a handicap for the first time and looks to have plenty of scope off a mark of 71 here.
A step up in trip to 10 furlongs looks ideal and given that she has only had four starts there is going to be more improvement for the in-form George Boughey team. She should prove hard to beat.
3.30 Wetheby: Stratocracy

Finished: 3rdSP: 7/2
Stratocracy won a couple of handicaps last season and after a four-month lay-off returned with a fine effort at Redcar this month.
He travelled with his usual zest before finishing third that day and gets to race off the same mark. He is consistent and should take a step forward for that seasonal return.
4.00 Wetherby: Never Let Go

Finished: 3rdSP: 11/2
This filly is the least exposed of these and can take advantage of a lenient looking mark of 76.
She did well to win at Wolverhampton last time out, overcoming a positional disadvantage to quicken up well and win going away. Despite a narrow margin of success, she was value for more than the winning margin and the handicapper may have underestimated her.
5.00 Wetherby: Zappata

Finished: 1stSP: 5/2
Zappata put up a career best effort last time out when running in a handicap for the first time and can build on that here.
She wore cheekpieces for the first time in that race, but still looked raw and green under pressure and seemed to finish with more to give. She gets to race off the same mark here in an equally weak handicap and should go well.
