Sunday tips: Angus McNae bids to follow up 14-1 winner

This horse was a revelation last season in blinkers over the cross country fences and he can resume winning ways here.

He won impressively at this track when wearing blinkers for the first time and would have gone close to winning the cross country chase at Cheltenham if his rider had not contemplated taking the wrong course at one point.

A return to Punchestown is a positive, as are the conditions of the race which suit him given that he is the top-rated horse with a mark of 143. 

This mare is a fine quick jumper who possesses the highest RaceiQ Jump Index in this field with a score of 8.0 (out of 10).

She has won three of her four starts over fences and there is no problem with her dropping back in trip as she has plenty of speed.

In a small field, she may well make the running and her fast jumping is likely to have her rivals in trouble a long way from home. 

I can see this bold-jumping front runner making all the running in this small field.

He is easily the fastest and most efficient jumper in the field, also with a RaceiQ Jump Index of 8.0, and he can repeat his win at Roscommon last time out where he put his rivals to the sword from the outset before getting a breather and kicking on again. A repeat of that effort will see him win again. 

Jane WIlliams has her team in great form with four winners from her last ten runners at the time of writing, and she can strike again with Le Soleil Reve who could be well treated off a mark of 108 in this handicap.

He won on his second start at Hereford before shaping really well in defeat in a better race at Newton Abbott on his seasonal return.

That effort suggested there is plenty of improvement to come from him and, with his yard in such good form, he is worth supporting here.
