2.50 Market Rasen: Granny Hawkins
Granny Hawkins is in tremendous form. She has won her past three starts, and her latest win was showcased by a decent turn of foot for a cosy success at Stratford.
That was a better handicap than she contests here, and she arrives here following a short absence, which will have served to refresh her for a latter summer campaign.
She is just the type that trainer Alan King does well with, and a four-timer beckons for this strong-travelling mare.
3.15 Ayr: Altareq
Altareq has caught the eye in three of his four runs this season, and this is surely his chance to lose his maiden tag.
Formerly with team Gosden, he went into plenty of Racing TV Trackers when finishing third in a class 2 contest at York on his first start for Jim Goldie, and a drop in grade to a class 4 here over his ideal trip of ten furlongs will bring out the best in him.
He was not given a hard time at Carlisle last time out when finishing third over an inadequate mile, and surely this is the day for Altareq.

4.25 Ayr: Glasses Up
Glasses Up is dangerously well-handicapped, given that he drops into a 0-55 handicap off a rating of 54 at a track where he has won 11 times.
His last success came at Ayr last year off a mark of 67, and he should not be missed here from a sliding mark that has allowed him to drop in grade.
He shaped well here in May when a narrowly-beaten third off a rating of 58, and from a decent draw in stall one on fast ground that suits, he looks to be the pick in what appears a weak contest.
5.00 Ayr: Salam Dubawi
Salam Dubawi was a stylish winner on his second start for Jim Goldie at Hamilton where he cruised through a 0-80 Handicap and won as he liked.
A subsequent disappointment in the Racing TV Zetland Gold Cup can be put down to the race coming too soon and, now back down in grade, he can resume winning ways.
He is well drawn in stall three to be ridden prominently, which was the run style he adopted when winning at Hamilton in the style of a horse who is well ahead of his mark.
