Top presenter Angus McNae has four bets across Leopardstown and on Sunday, all live on Racing TV.
1.45 Downpatrick: Toad Hall
There was lots to like about his return to action at Punchestown after a lengthy absence, and he can build on that return and strike here for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend.
He would have nearly won on that occasion had he not blundered two out, and he was also hampered in the closing stages.
The eight-year-old has been given over a month to recover from those exertions, and should therefore avoid the dreaded bounce factor. This looks to be an ideal opportunity.
3.10 Leopardstown: Exactly
It often pays to be a shade circumspect when backing Aidan O'Brien's string at this time of year, but
is head and shoulders above her rivals in the Ballylinch Stud "Priory Belle" Stakes, and is therefore worthy of support.
She produced a triple-digit speed figure when winning the Group Three Killavullan Stakes at Leopardstown on her final start last season where she made all and forged clear of her rivals.
A repeat of that effort should be good enough to score here.
3.45 Leopardstown: Tiberius Thunder
The Adrian Murray team won this last year with a 50-1 chance, and I am hoping the trainer strikes again with a big-priced contender.
This youngster won on his debut at Dundalk when his name was being screamed from the rooftops, and he was backed off the boards before obliging.
He was clearly highly thought of before that outing, and it is interesting that they pitch him into graded company so quickly.
Delacroix will be hard to beat, but if there is to be an upset, this contender may be the one.
4.05 Downpatrick: Iris Emery
I think this mare, who bounced back to form last time out when finishing third in the Dublin National at Leopardstown, can land the Randox Ulster National Handicap.
She is versatile regards trip and ground and gets to race off the same rating here of 120. Paul Townend replaces a 7lb claimer and on only her second start over fences, she can beat some more experienced, but exposed, rivals.
