Success Days in line for Champion Stakes raids

Success Days could have two chances at Group One glory before being retired at the end of the season.
Trainer Ken Condon is looking at the Champion Stakes on both sides of the Irish Sea as the final appearances on the track for his five-year-old before he embarks, hopefully, on a career as a stallion.
Success Days is likely to line up for the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday, as long as the ground is suitable.
Condon reports the five-year-old to be in fine shape following his gutsy success in the Group Two Sky Bet York Stakes on the Knavesmire at the end of July and has his eye on the weather.
"They are due rain tomorrow. He seems very well and we'd like to give him the chance to run," said the Kildare handler.
"Obviously, the slower the ground the better, but if it was good or good to yielding at least, I'd say he'd be allowed to take his chance. He seems very well. He'll work on Tuesday and will have the usual checks after that. At this stage, I'd say it's likely he'd run in the Champion Stakes."
He added: "He's in great form with himself. The more rain that's knocking around, the better for him.
"After that I'd have thought Ascot is very much in the picture then. That would be his major target.
"Saturday is more of a probability than a possibility and then Ascot, where he would have a very good chance of getting the ground he needs.
"This is probably his last season racing. I think connections are working on finding a place at stud for him when he retires and are looking at a few operations."
