The four-mile JT McNamara National Hunt Chase, named in the memory of the former leading amateur rider who died in July, has attracted 71 entries at the Cheltenham Festival on March 14.Twenty-six of the contenders are trained in Ireland, with six from the Willie Mullins stable, including Grade Two Limerick victor Bellshill.Gordon Elliott has four horses engaged, headed by 2014 Triumph Hurdle winner Tiger Roll.Other Irish possibles include the Mags Mullins-trained Martello Tower, successful in the 2015 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle, and Mouse Morris' Alpha Des Obeaux.The British contingent features the likes of American, Singlefarmpayment, Arpege D'Alene and Calett Mad.
