Sky Bet Sunday Series tips: Harry Allwood's best bets at Newmarket

Harry Allwood has four fancies on the valuable Sky Bet Sunday series fixture at Newmarket, which features the return of Lir Speciale, the Racing TV x RaceShare syndicate horse. Enjoy all the action live on Racing TV.

4.15 Newmarket: Berkshire Rocco

Best odds: 7-2.
This former St Leger runner-up produced some useful form in decent handicaps last season, including when fifth off a rating of 95 in the Ebor, and while he may not be the force of old, a repeat of his York performance should be good enough to land the Sky Bet For The Fans Handicap.
Andrew Balding's charge shaped as though the run was needed on his return at Newmarket this month and although he also ran below par on his final start last year, that was at the end of a long season, and there's every reason to believe he's going to show his true colours now.
His handler remains in good form and Berkshire Rocco has run well at this track before, plus the trip and ground will be fine for the selection.
Oisin Murphy is a positive jockey booking and his mount looks the one to beat down in class.

4.45 Newmarket: Daysofourlives

Best odds: 7-2.
Mahboob, who is two from two this year, is sure to prove popular with punters here, but it may pay to side with Daysofourlives who was an eye-catcher when a close third at this track in a 0-100 handicap on his return this month and should have plenty more to offer this season.
The four-year-old, who scored twice from four starts last season, finished best of those drawn high on that occasion, and the first, second, fourth and fifth were all drawn in stall six or lower.
He also did well to come from as far back as he did at a meeting where it paid to race prominently, and his effort can definitely be marked up.
That outing should have blown any cobwebs away, too, and he's only a pound higher here, so if he's progressed again from that run, which I I expect he has, then it's going to take a decent performance from the favourite to defeat him off a rating of 91 on just his third start.
Daysofourlives has plenty of stamina in his pedigree and was successful over this trip last year, while he proved last time that he can show his best form at this venue.

5.45 Newmarket: Woodhay Wonder

Best odds: 4-1.
A real money-spinner for connections last season having landed two valuable auction races at this track, and Tom Ward's filly picked up where she left off by winning a 0-100 handicap on her seasonal return over course and distance in April .
Although it's easy to say now, a rating of 88 did seem fair for her handicap debut and, given her progress, a rating of 93 may still underestimate her, especially as she's entitled to improve for her first run for 194 days.
The three-year-old also performed respectably at Group Two level last season and could develop into a smart sprinter this season.
She clearly handles this track well, and Tom Marquand, who guided her to success last time out, retains the ride. Good ground will be ideal and Woodhay Wonder ticks plenty of boxes here.

6.45 Newmarket: Victoria Falls

Best odds: 10-1.
A wide-open contest to end the Sky Bet Sunday Series card, and a chance is taken on Victoria Falls who progressed nicely last season and caught the eye in defeat in a 0-105 handicap on her return to action where she finished seventh, and was beaten less than five lengths.
The five-year-old encountered traffic problems up the straight at Chester and would have finished closer had she received a clear run.
Hugo Palmer's string have generally been needing their first outings of the year, so there's a good chance Victoria Falls will take a step forward here, and this 0-75 handicap represents a much easier task, despite the fact she carries a lofty weight.
The selection finished a narrow second over this course and distance off a pound lower rating on her penultimate start last year and her latest effort hints she may have progressed again, so it's wise to expect a big run at double-figure odds.
