Looking Well has the Coral Scottish
Grand National has his main target after chasing home Ziga Boy in the Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster.
Trainer Nicky Richards will consider a trip to Cheltenham prior to his date in Ayr, after he was put up 5lb by the handicapper.
"I always thought Looking Well was a nice horse, but he wants half-decent ground which was why I couldn't run him before," said Richards.
"He might go for the Ultima on the first day of Cheltenham or there's a race at Ayr he could run in.
"The Scottish National is where we want to go with him, though."
In the same Doncaster race, stablemate Ballyboker Breeze went off a shorter price in the betting but could only finish seventh.
"These young horses get high ratings very quickly and your hand is forced," said Richards.
"They don't get the chance to learn and it probably came two runs too soon for him. You've got to educate them.
"There's no point in me moaning, that's just the way the programme is, it's the same for them all."
