Martin Dixon shares his three best bets for Kempton on Saturday.
2.08 Kempton: Chuggy (nap)
One of the most imposing horses in training, Chuggy showed a technique to match his size when winning three chases on the bounce earlier in the season and I just think a busy spell probably caught up with him when he was laboured at Aintree last time.
He's been freshened up since, the form of his emphatic Warwick win is very strong and I think his bold jumping, front-running style will be seen to good effect on this chase track at Kempton. He's a top price if 10/3 at the time of writing.
2.40 Kempton: Moon Mission (each-way)
There are some established high-end handicappers here with strong form and I'd respect the likes of Double Powerful and Turndlightsdownlow but at bigger odds (18/1 at the time of writing) I'm backing Moon Mission each way.
It's interesting Philip Rothwell brings him over from Ireland and he sneaks in with a very light weight. On his handicap debut a couple of months ago he travelled strongly and could've gone close with a bit more luck and a strong pace here will suit.
3.53 Kempton: Home Made Hero
I was impressed with Home Made Hero when he powered away with a Uttoxeter maiden in the autumn, impressing with his jumping and attitude.
He got tired before falling next time but has had a wind operation since and I'm hoping he can belatedly progress from that taking debut win coming here fresh. There's a chance he gets his own way in front in this small field , too.
