2.30 Nottingham: Nad Alshiba Green (nap)

A 1lb rise for Nad Alshiba Green's comeback run, when second at Thirsk, should prove lenient because if she'd got a clear passage there, I think she'd quite possibly have won, and I expect her to rate a good bit higher than her current rating of 80 in her three-year-old season.
She was progressive last year, if not quite the finished article mentally, but she's progressed well physically over the winter, and I'm confident this race will set up perfectly for her given she's drawn next door to the free-going, front-runner Naana's Diamond to give her the ideal tow into the race.

2.45 Haydock: Never Let Go

Before racing on Friday, Ed Walker had already sent out seven winners in May, so it's a red-hot stable to be with currently, and I'm hopeful Never Let Go can step up markedly from her encouraging comeback at Wetherby a fortnight ago.
Twice-raced as a juvenile, she did well to win a muddling race at Wolverhampton in December, quickening through late off a sedate gallop, and she stuck to her task last time in the manner of a filly that will be suited by stepping up to a mile here.
She's well drawn in stall three to hopefully sit just behind the pace, and I don't think this is the strongest 3yo handicap.

3.20 Haydock: Follow Your Heart

Given that Follow Your Heart has gained nine of his ten career wins on all-weather tracks, it's perhaps understandable that he has a split rating, but his opportunities on turf have been very limited over the past couple of years, and I'm willing to take the chance on him cashing in on a 9lb lower rating on turf here.
He shaped very promisingly at Doncaster last year from this same rating of 74, meeting trouble and finishing fast, and that makes me think he is still able to win on turf.
He arrives after a fruitful winter campaign, and a strongly run 7f is what he wants, and exactly what he looks set to get here.

3.40 Nottingham: Ventura Dream

A winner on his handicap debut (ahead of a next time out winner) in February, Ventura Dream belied huge odds when a good third at Southwell last time, and that form is also strong, with the winner, Bulletin, improving again when second at Epsom next time, plus the runner-up Cristo has won both of his subsequent starts.
He's been left alone on a rating of 70 and his forward racing style should be well suited to this track on quick ground.
