Saturday tips: Dave Nevison's four best bets

This is a really tricky handicap where several runners look to be tied in with each other on various form lines, and I am hopeful I have chosen a mare who might end up being a bit of value at forecast odds. 

Terresita won a Listed Mares' Chase on her reappearance and then ran well, despite taking a walk in the market, over this course and distance last time out. 

She looks to be on a generally upward curve and her form figures would look better if she had not fallen at Sandown on her final outing last season. 

The handicapper has been generous to drop her a pound for her latest start and this consistent mare is definitely a player here.

The presence of Royal Pagaille, who is a standing dish around Haydock and seeks to win this race for the third time in succession, has probably frightened off several possible rivals plus he will certainly be a tough horse to beat, despite a welter burden. 

However, he could have done Mr Vango a real favour as Sara Bradstock's stayer is set to carry bottom weight here and is actually a pound out of the weights. 

He won the London National at Sandown last time out in the style of a typical Bradstock performer, toughing it out from the front and seeing off the challenge of Collectors Item who gave the form a boost when winning at Wincanton on Thursday. 

Jockey Jack Tudor has made his name riding staying handicap chasers, firstly for Christian Williams and more recently for David Pipe, and he actually won on Mr Vango over hurdles, so looks a strong jockey booking.

Kilbarry Hill’s hat-trick of wins in his recent form figures is grossly flattering as it includes a win in a poor maiden hurdle on his seasonal debut, and then a walkover, but there was nothing wrong with his win last time out, and it is certainly possible he could extend the sequence to four in this contest. 

He is just 3lb higher than last time where he beat a previous winner in a handicap that has already produced a winner from those behind him. 

That was his first step up to three miles and with his jockey able to claim his 3lb allowance here, he still looks well weighted. Not many of his rivals are in the best of form, and this could be another good bit of placing by Olly Murphy.

Dominic’s Fault will be short in this Seniors' Handicap Hurdle, but rightly so, and it looks to be another example of excellent placing by his in-form trainer Olly Murphy. He just qualifies to run in this race being an eight-year-old, and has mostly old-timers to beat here. 

However, he is lightly-raced and still looks to have plenty of potential upside, which his rivals have clearly used up over the years. He won by six lengths at Lingfield last time and should have won the time before as well. 

The handicapper has put him up 9lb since his latest win, but against exposed opposition such as this, that is very unlikely to stop him.
