Sandown gears up for an emotional and exciting renewal of the bet365 Jump Finale

Sandown Park Racecourse is preparing to host bet365 Jump Finale on Saturday 26th April. As the grand conclusion to the 2024/25 Jump Season, the day not only celebrates equine excellence but is a heartfelt tribute to some of racing’s most influential figures, all of which is set to place in the landmark year that marks Sandown Park’s 150th anniversary.

Before racing kicks off for the day Sandown Park will celebrate the stars of the season with the crowning of the Champion Owner, Champion Jockey and Conditional Jockey. These honours pay tribute to the outstanding performances, dedication and determination that define the sport of Jump Racing.

This year’s Sandown Park Special Award will take on added significance as it is posthumously awarded to esteemed owner John Hales, who passed away earlier this year. Known for his passion, dedication and extraordinary impact on Jump racing, John Hales leaves a legacy that will endure for generations. 

On the track, racegoers can look forward to the thrilling Grade 1 bet365 Celebration Chase and the historic bet365 Gold Cup, first run in 1957 and a jewel in the crown of the British Jump Racing calendar.

Off the track, the 2018 bet365 Gold Cup hero and Sandown Park Horses for Courses Ambassador Step Back returns to meet and greet racegoers, showcasing the versatility and second careers that await many racehorses after retirement.

Fans can also enjoy jockey masterclasses throughout the day, offering behind-the-scenes insights into the athleticism and skill it takes to succeed at the highest level of the sport.

After the final race has been run, the party continues with a live DJ set from BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills – the perfect way to round off a day of celebration and to toast 150 years of racing heritage at Sandown Park.
