In 2015, the Cheltenham Festival’s blue riband event saw a phenomenon which it hadn’t witnessed in 41 years - a novice winner. That novice winner, under the guidance of trainers Mark and Sara Bradstock, shocked the racing world to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup - Coneygree.
Reflecting on the fairytale story ten years on, the Genting Casino team headed down to the Old Manor Stables to chat with Sara and Richard, who rode Coneygree as a juvenile, to tell their version of events - from the injuries which plagued the now 17-year-old to winning National Hunt racing’s most coveted prize.
