Racing TV becomes the new home of Hong Kong racing in the UK and Ireland

Racing TV is to become the new home of Hong Kong racing in the UK and Ireland, as part of a growing partnership between Racecourse Media Group (RMG) and the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC).

RMG has become the exclusive UK and Ireland broadcast partner for Hong Kong racing, and Hong Kong’s data and racecards will also be displayed across Racing TV’s digital platforms.

Racing TV will show every fixture from Sha Tin and Happy Valley exclusively live, giving viewers comprehensive coverage of one of the world’s leading racing jurisdictions.

Betting on the Hong Kong action will be available through the Tote, with RMG also supplying live pictures to UK Tote Group and Irish Tote, who will promote the racing to their customers.

The partnership extends beyond live racing. HKJC editorial and promotional content will feature across Racing TV’s digital channels and Raceday TV, showcasing Hong Kong racing, its participants and its biggest racedays to a wider UK and Irish audience.

RMG already has a long-standing relationship with HKJC through successful simulcasting and World Pool arrangements, and will once again produce the World Feed programme for the Hong Kong International Races at Sha Tin on 13 December.

HKJC and RMG will work together to refresh how Hong Kong racing is broadcast in the UK and Ireland in the new year, and further details will be shared once confirmed.

Watch Saffie Osborne's 10 rides on Sunday debut only on RTV

The highlight on Sunday is undoubtedly the debut of Classic-winning rider, Saffie Osborne, whose 10-strong book of rides includes David Eustace’s Silvery Breeze in the feature HK$4.2 million (approx. £400,000) G3 Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Handicap (1m1f/1800m).

“I was maybe slightly shocked when told that I had 10 rides, but very excited," admitted Osborne. "I’ve got a lot of homework to do before Sunday, but it’s also really nice to pick up a ride in the feature race.

“Being so light, I can do bottom weight, and that’s something that’s helped me a lot in the UK and hopefully it can help me here,” she added.
