Racing TV to support Jockey Ambassador Training programme

The successful Jockey Ambassador Training programme run by JETS is set to continue in 2026 with a one-day workshop held in The Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket on Thursday 26th February.

The workshop has been designed to appeal to as many jockeys as possible with the only fixture on that day being a Chelmsford evening meeting. Jockeys attending the workshop will also be given the additional option to either attend a media introduction day with Racing TV where they can choose to receive an overview of the production gallery, edit suite and virtual reality studio at the Ealing Broadcast Centre in London or a day shadowing presenters and pundits on course.

The event follows successful previous workshops held at Warwick, Newmarket and Sandown Park giving jockeys the opportunity to develop new skills and gain knowledge to enhance their profile, engage successfully with a range of media and maximise commercial opportunities.

The day will focus on personal branding and social media in the morning whilst the afternoon will involve practical interview skills training which will help jockeys learn how to adapt to different media and different audiences.   The various speakers will come from across sport giving jockeys insights into the wider sports industry and how athletes need to adapt to the changing media landscape.
