Racing TV launches free-to-view Racing TV Play channel on Samsung TV Plus

Racing TV has announced the launch of Racing TV Play, a new free-to-view channel available on Samsung TV Plus.

Racing TV Play is the first dedicated horse racing and equestrian channel on Samsung TV Plus in the UK and Ireland. The platform is available on Samsung Smart TVs (made from 2016), and Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets. 

The launch places Racing TV at the forefront of the rapidly expanding FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) landscape, making the drama, heritage and excitement of the sport instantly accessible to Samsung TV Plus users.

Racing TV Play offers a curated archive of iconic and nostalgic British and Irish racing moments, including legendary races from the Cheltenham Festival, the Grand National Festival and the Epsom Derby Festival. The channel also features coverage of major racing festivals, magazine-style programming, storytelling content and, in time, live preview shows and shoulder programming. 

Samsung TV Plus sits front and centre on Samsung devices, with around 9 million Samsung TVs in the UK, a regular login rate of approximately 35%, and around 100 million monthly active users, worldwide. 

Racing TV Play joins a strong line-up of sports channels on Samsung TV Plus – including Sky Sports Stories, Sky Sports Classics, DAZN Ringside, TalkSport, PGA Tour, Bundesliga and DP World Tour – while standing out as the platform’s first and only horse racing-focused channel.
