Champion Hurdle shock produces £11,000 dividend for Festival Placepot

It was a memorable day for Placepot punters at the Cheltenham Festival with the Tote Placepot paying out a mammoth £11,050.70 to a £1 stake.
A total of £826,757.28 was bet into the Placepot on the day, but just 74.82 units shared the dividend, which was shaken up as soon as the second race when Arkle hot favourite Majborough was just kept out of the places, sending just 12% of tickets through to leg three.
However it was the victory of Golden Ace over Burdett Road that really supercharged the final payout.
One Cheltenham racegoer placed a £5 straight line Placepot bet with the Tote and collected over £55,000. While on Tote.co.uk, one customer landed £22,101.40 from a £24 bet with another taking home £17,681.12 from a £12.80 stake
The Tote Lucky Pick facility continues to prove popular with racecourse customers. One Lucky Pick wallet customer collected £16,576 from a winning Placepot.
