Peter Naughton's tracker horses: Keep In Line will suit step up in trip

He was a little unlucky when second in the two-mile handicap hurdle at Wetherby on Wednesday.
The well-treated gelding did well to recover having lost his place down the far side he then made some headway before two furlong out, but Master of Irony gained first run and went on to victory.
I think the talented five-year old could appreciate a stiffer track, or possibly a step up in trip may help.
This was a strong event and Keep In Line was having only his second start in a handicap. Keep in Line put up a good effort and failed by less than a length so I'm keeping with him.
In the same race Seamour looks ready for a step up in trip, having been a little one-paced when the leaders headed for home.
Connections may have been bidding to collect a penalty to increase the gelding's chance of making the cut for the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham’s November Meeting.
A very smart stayer on the Flat, Seamour was very well backed and didn't jump too badly but should improve in that department. He looks well treated over hurdles and will probably win, perhaps when up in trip.

epsom-downs

19:45 Epsom-Downs - Thursday July 18
It was U S S Missouri who caught caught the eye in the third race of the evening in the 7 furlong novice at Kempton.
Ed Walker's once-raced colt had finished fourth over course and distance last month and is surely improving.
Close up with the leaders, he was shaken up two-out having travelled sweetly until ridden over a furlong out.
Unable to quicken, this colt stuck on well inside the final furlong and can continue to improve, perhaps over further. He wasn’t beaten far and deserves extra credit for running so well from a poor draw.
One to Watch – Se You:

On Friday, I presented from Redcar and enjoyed another informative chat with Tim Easterby. The in-form Yorkshire trainer expressed his liking for Se You before the one mile novice stakes.
"I’ve got a lot of runners today but I really like Se You," he revealed. "I’m not saying he'll beat the odds-on favourite Stephenson’s Rocket but he’s a good horse and I like him."
Se You was stepping up from two furlongs and raced prominently throughout before being ridden a quarter of a mile out.
Weakening approaching the final furlong, the gelding tired close home but remains a smashing type for next term and one for the Racing UK tracker.
