There were some magnificent performances at huge odds from the notebook again last week, including Mussab's close third at 66-1 in the Group Two Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday.
The Faheys' quality colt benefited from a very fast pace and was able to recover from a poor start when short of room.
Still in rear at halfway, he made headway over a furlong out and was again short of room inside the final furlong; he ran on well to be nearest at the finish.
Mussab is a fine son of Ten Sovereigns, who was sold for just 5,000 guineas at Tattersalls Book 3 before making 52,000 guineas at the Guineas Breeze-Up Sale. He is out of a Showcasing daughter of Exceptionelle, who is a half-sister to German Group Three winner Turning Light, so expect more progress.

I presented Racing TV from York on Saturday and witnessed Mussab making a very pleasing introduction when a close third to fellow newcomer Possessive in the 6f novice.
Peter & Richard Fahey's quality colt cost 52,000 guineas at the breeze-up sales and the son of Ten Sovereigns has plenty of pace on his dam's side.
The winner had recently recorded a stunning piece of work, so this is strong form.
Mussab was third behind the impressive Orthodox in the Norfolk Stakes last week
Fellow notebook horse Molo Del Palazzo rewarded each-way supporters when a close second at 20-1 in the 1m2f three-year-old handicap at Lingfield on Thursday.
Stepping up from 1m on this first start outside maiden company, Ralph Beckett's filly was prominent and although losing second two-out, kept on to regain that position behind fancied Oh Yes You Do.
Molo Del Palazzo is a fine daughter of Palace Pier and this performance proved her liking for this trip.

Molo Del Palazzo was a significant eye-catcher in the 1m three-year-old novice at Lingfield.
The classy daughter of Palace Pier, who was taking on colts, was returning from 252 days off and stepping up from 7f.
She was towards rear but made headway from over a furlong out after being nudged along.
Molo Del Palzzo will be interesting after one more run. June Free Trial campaign
Back to Thursday's action,
Galilean Quality remains in the notebook.
Some bookmakers paid six places to reward anyone who took the morning price of 66-1 on last week's selection in the King George V Handicap at Royal Ascot.
Beaten only four lengths, Karl Burke's highly regarded son of Teofilo raced wide in rear from stall sixteen but was making headway when hanging right over a furlong out.
He kept on inside the final one hundred yards and was nearest at the finish but would have gone even closer granted a better draw.
Kinswoman was checked by the veterinary surgeon after defeat in the Listed Land O'Burns Fillies' Listed Stakes at Ayr on Saturday.
William Haggas' quality four-year-old was one of only two who raced on the stands' side but she was in touch with the leaders before weakening in the final furlong.
Kinswoman was beaten only seven lengths and deserves more chances at this level.
She could also do well off 91 in a valuable handicap.
Treble Nine produced immediate profit for the notebook
(11-4 into 9-4) in the 1m6f maiden at Goodwood on Friday.
Andrew Balding's three-year-old was in touch with the leaders and made headway to challenge over two-out.
He had a sustained duel with hot favourite Kooka Rose, who was in receipt of a 5lb sex allowance, and beat her a short head; front two clear.
Treble Nine relished the extra three furlongs and this quality daughter of Ghaiyyath is bred to progress.
Connections have a habit of hitting the frame at huge odds at the top level, so don't be surprised if Treble Nine picks up prize money in the St Leger.
I wrote here last month:
Treble Nine deserves plenty of credit for his close second to experienced stablemate Mythical Valentine in the extended 1m3f three-year-old maiden at Windsor.
Andrew Balding's well bred son of Ghaiyyath was in touch with the leaders and made headway from over a furlong out before keeping on well.
The winner was having his fifth start but Treble Nine, who cost 60,000 guineas and is out of a sister to Derby runner-up Khalifa Sat, will improve plenty.

Flushing Meadows
Flushing Meadows endured a luckless run in the Britannia Handicap.
Aidan O'Brien's classy son of Wootton Bassett was in rear but made headway on the far side of his group.
Fitted with first-time cheekpieces, he would have gone closer had the race panned out more favourably.
Flushing Meadows was beaten three lengths in a Listed race at Navan last time and deserves more chances in valuable handicaps.
He holds four entries at the Curragh on Sunday.
Apiarist
Later on the card, Apiarist endured a troubled passage in the Buckingham Palace Stakes.
Taken down early, Jack Callan's mount was in rear but keeping on when short of room inside the final furlong.
The son of Night Of Thunder was equally unfortunate in the Thirsk Hunt Cup and remains well treated granted better luck in running.
