Paul Nicholls feels
No Drama This End has “done his talking” on the track, as preparations for the hot prospect’s next start in the Turners Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival begin to ramp up.
The six-year-old, who has drawn comparison to the imperious Denman such has been the impressive nature of his victories to date, is following a well-trodden Ditcheat path to Prestbury Park having remained unbeaten over timber with success in the Challow Hurdle at Christmas.
Since his last outing the likes Willie Mullins’ Doctor Steinberg and Nicky Henderson’s Act Of Innocence have both stated their own Turners claims, but Nicholls believes his No Drama This End has proven his quality, as focus shifts to having the exciting grey cherry-ripe for his important date next month.
Nicholls said: “The horse has done his talking with three runs and three wins and he can’t do anymore than what he’s done.
“He’s obviously a smart horse, but whether he’s smart enough to win the Turners, then who knows, but we’re looking forward to it.
“He’ll have a couple of away days before Cheltenham and I’m very happy with him. He looks great and I saw him work on Saturday morning and thought he’s coming along really well.”
No Drama This End is a general 4-1 favourite for the Turners.
