Boy is reported to be “looking brighter each day” following his heavy fall in the Randox .
The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained seven-year-old was leading the way in the showpiece when coming to grief jumping Valentine’s for a second time, the 25th of 30 fences.
Boy was treated on the track following his fall before eventually walking into the ambulance and being taken back to the racecourse stables for further assessment. He stayed at overnight before returning to Twiston-Davies’ Naunton yard in Gloucestershire on Sunday.
Willy Twiston-Davies, assistant to his father, posted on X on Tuesday: “Quick update on . He’s obviously still sore but the vets are happy with his progress. He’s getting all the care and attention possible, he is looking brighter each day.”
Broadway Boy’s rider Tom Bellamy was taken to Aintree hospital following the fall and was found to have broken his wrist.
