Martin Dixon's Saturday tips: "He's my strongest fancy"

This is a youngster that I've had my eye on for a Nursery for a while as I think her past two outings, in particular, have both been very good efforts, and the handicapper hasn't changed her rating of 67. 

I think that could prove to be lenient, and she's a front-runner, which I think are positive tactics at this track. 

I'm hopeful she can secure an easy lead here and build on her recent efforts over a course and distance that should suit her well. She's my strongest fancy on Saturday.

Tilted Kilt has featured in this column before when finishing second over course and distance in May, and he's been unlucky not to get his head in front so far this year.

His latest run was also at Haydock where, with a clear run through, I think he would have managed to score. He's only been raised a pound since, and he's an in-form contender who is on a very competitive mark.

Although this is a competitive contest, he's suited by the track and he's got a good each-way chance at the 15-2 on offer.

Best odds: 14-1 (with Ladbrokes).

This is obviously a wide-open contest, but I'm going to side with Real Gain each-way. I have always believed he is a very talented horse and is proven over this course and distance having won in decisive fashion at this meeting in 2023. 

He hasn't had a lot of racing over the past couple of seasons (this will be his tenth outing) but he shaped as though he retains all of his ability when a good third in the Coral Golden Mile last time out.

The five-year-old was only beaten two lengths and that form has worked out well with Ebt's Guard, Fifth Column and Tribal Chief all scoring next time out. I'm optimistic of a big run from his high draw in stall 22, and he's a big each-way player.
