Martin Dixon's Best Bet at Chelmsford

Almodovar Del Rio hasn't stood much racing over the past couple of years but his last two efforts, when returning from absences, have been good performances. He also split a pair of next-time-out winners when second at Southwell in January after 233 days off the track. He's had exactly the same amount of time off the track before this return to action but catching him fresh could be a positive, and I think a well-run 6f from what is a handy draw in stall five should see him to good effect.
