Made U Blush enters Festival equation with Musselburgh strike

Made U Blush may be destined for bigger things after landing the bet365 Scottish Triumph Hurdle at Musselburgh.
Ridden by Tristan Durrell for trainer Dan Skelton, the chestnut was one of two fillies in the Listed race and started at 11-2 among a field of six.
One of her rivals was the Gavin Cromwell-trained Secret Force, also owned by Jimmy Fyffe, but it was the filly who came to the fore with a two-and-a-quarter-length triumph.
“I was hopeful of Made U Blush, it’s a Listed race and for a mare I was hoping to have her in the first three,” Fyffe told Racing TV.
“Gavin’s horse (Secret Force) was coming back from a poor run at Cheltenham, we’re taking our time with him and aiming for a race at Cheltenham.
“He didn’t run a bad race, he was fourth and he ran on at the end so he’ll come on for the run.
“Made U Blush was very impressive, Dan had said that it was going to be faster race and she’d have to jump faster but she jumped brilliantly.
“I’m hoping Dan decides we might go to Cheltenham, there’s a few options for her and this has definitely opened some doors.”
Paul Nicholls’ Absolutely Doyen took the bet365 Scottish Stayers’ Novices’ Hurdle under Freddie Gingell, a fifth successive victory since he joined the yard ahead of the season.
The six-year-old was the 8-11 favourite and continued his progression with a three-and-three-quarter-length success.
Elsewhere on the card Star Of Guiting took the bet365 Scottish County Handicap Hurdle at 8-1 for Ewan Whillans and Sean Quinlan, with Magna Victor then justifying favouritism in the bet365 Handicap Hurdle with a win for Alastair Ralph and Ciaran Gethings at 100-30.
The concluding Each Way Extra At bet365 Handicap Chase went the way of Neil Mulholland’s Kelce under Conor O’Farrell as the 15-8 favourite.
