Karl Burke looking to Beatbox to hit winning rhythm at Newcastle

Recent York scorer Beatbox Rhythm makes what could be his final appearance for trainer Karl Burke in the 32Red Casino Conditions Stakes at Newcastle.
A seven-race card at Gosforth Park marks the beginning of the new All-Weather Championships season, which culminates with the £1million All-Weather Championships Finals Day at Lingfield on Good Friday next March.
Tuesday's £25,000 contest is a Fast-Track Qualifier for the £150,000 32Red Three-Year-Old All-Weather Championships and Beatbox Rhythm holds strong claims having won a nursery at York less than a fortnight ago.
Burke said: "He came out of York really well - he's bouncing at home - and we thought it was worth giving it a shot.
"He works on the Polytrack at Middleham all the time, so we don't expect switching to the all-weather to be a problem.
"He's entered in the sales at Tattersalls next week. He'll only be sold if he fetches what we think he's worth.
"If he wins at Newcastle it would be a big bonus, obviously.
"It's not a bad race, but we go there hopeful."
Beatbox Rhythm faces eight rivals over six furlongs, with the Richard Fahey-trained It Dont Come Easy setting the standard on official ratings.
The Kyllachy colt has filled the runner-up spot in his last two races, most recently finding only Rebel Assault too strong in York's Rockingham Stakes.
"It Dont Come Easy had a bit of a tough race at York, but seems fine now," said Fahey.
"He was a fraction disappointing during the middle part of the season after a decent run in the Norfolk (at Royal Ascot), but he has bounced back well and we were happy with his last two performances.
"It is a great incentive from the All-Weather Championships having this Fast-Track Qualifier so early, and it would be a coup if he could win it as I would like to give him a break and then aim for the final."
Other contenders include Encrypted (Hugo Palmer), Lake Volta (Mark Johnston) and Sarookh (Roger Varian).
Irish hopes rest on Gordon Elliott's outsider River Boyne.
