Juvenile expert Ross Millar has high hopes for a 16-1 chance at York this week plus previews the Acomb Stakes, and Lowther Stakes, two of the key juvenile contests at this week's Welcome To Yorkshire Ebor Festival, live on Racing TV. PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK
Coroebus is another name to add to the list of highly promising juveniles that are in the care of Charlie Appleby.
He made his debut at Newmarket on Friday evening in a novice race over a mile, a race won by the brilliant Roaring Lion in 2017.
The John and Thady Gosden-trained Saga brought a decent level of form to the race and, unlike Coroebus, had previous racecourse experience.
However, the Godolphin-owned colt was well backed, and duly delivered.

Coroebus - remember the name!
He travelled nicely, raced close to the pace and could be called the winner a long way from home. His jockey, William Buick, only had to push him out with his hands and heels to secure a comfortable victory.
He holds entries in both the Group Two Champagne Stakes, and The Royal Lodge, and on this performance, he looks well up to Group class. He will certainly stay further than a mile in time as well.
TATTERSALLS ACOMB STAKES
This promises to be an exceptionally competitive race and will no doubt be very informative for future races.
It Is only a five-runner affair, but at the time of writing, the market is struggling to separate three - Dubawi Legend, Ehraz and Noble Truth.
Dubawi Legend was visually very impressive on debut when he ran out a four-length winner at Doncaster over this trip. Improvement is virtually assured given that was his only start, although the race is yet to throw up any subsequent winners.
Ehraz was a promising runner-up on debut behind Noble Truth and, on that occasion, he was slowly away before keeping on well in the final furlong.

Noble Truth defeated Ehraz at Newmarket in July
He has since put that experience to good use when winning on his next start at Ascot by a comfortable margin, although it is worth noting that the second and third from that race have been well beaten since.
Many will point to the advantage of experience that Noble Truth had when beating Ehraz on what was his second start, although I would argue the benefit was negligible as he didn’t use it to great effect as, just like on debut, he took a very keen hold in the race and wasn’t the most professional.
While doing plenty wrong, he impressed me with his acceleration and stamina at the end of that race, and I think there is plenty more to come.
His debut run when four lengths behind Lusail, who has since won the Group Two July Stakes, reads well, so he is the selection.
SKY BET LOWTHER STAKES
Sandrine has so far been the standout filly for me this year but does have to concede 3lb to the entire field in this.
She sets a high standard, but there will be a few in the field who could have legitimate hopes of toppling her.
Amo Racing announced last week that a difference of opinion had resulted in a split from trainer Ralph Beckett, and this means David Loughnane now has care of their filly, Hello You.
She pulled very hard on her last start when comprehensively beaten in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes by the aforementioned Sandrine.
She has been declared to wear a hood and if this enables her to relax more, then there is every chance she can get closer to Sandrine this time.
Desert Dreamer is becoming a habitual bridesmaid, having finished runner-up on her past three starts, and finished fast on her penultimate outing to separate Sandrine and Hello You in the Duchess of Cambridge.
She didn’t have the smoothest passage there and had to wait for a gap to appear, so is another entitled to get closer.
Zain Claudette got up in the shadow of the post last time, beating Desert Dreamer by a nose in the Princess Margaret Keeneland Stakes. She finished very strongly on that occasion, but York may not play to this strength in the same way the stiff Ascot track did.
I would expect Sandrine to prove capable of conceding the penalty. but at a general 6-4, she is not a betting proposition for me.
goodwood
16:10 Goodwood - Wednesday July 28
Illustrating impressed at Goodwood when last seen
Instead, I would select Illustrating as an each-way selection at a best-priced 8-1.
She was reported to have lost her right-fore shoe when only managing seventh in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. She was a smart winner on debut at Catterick before that, and was an impressive winner at Goodwood last time out.
On official ratings, she has plenty to find, but this will be her first start over six furlongs, and I expect that to bring about further improvement.
A BET FOR THE WEEK
Wednesday’s card closes with a Nursery handicap over six furlongs. Guest List makes her nursery debut off a mark of 78, with leading apprentice Saffie Osborne claiming a valuable 5lb.
She has shown good form on her past two starts over five furlongs when winning at Chester before failing narrowly when staying on very well at Thirsk.
On her first start, she did appear to not quite stay six furlongs, but that was at Pontefract, and on this easier track with race fitness, I don’t see the trip being a problem. At around 16-1, I make her a solid each-way bet.
