Irish racing expert Johnny Ward marks your card for the action at Naas on Wednesday, live on Racing TV.
Folk across the Irish Sea can envy Naas patrons on Wednesday evening, with gorgeous 25-degree heat likely to entice a nice crowd for what is always a good offering on the level at the County Kildare track.
A striking aspect of the card is the field size fighting out for just €5,900 in the ARKequine Handicap (5.40) – 23 horses will be beaten in this event. It is nice to see George Boughey over with a runner for the big one, the Al Shira'aa Racing Irish EBF Jannah Rose Stakes (6.40).

6.10 Naas: Go Just Do It
I was disappointed in him in the Guineas, even if Joseph O’Brien opined after Gowran that he felt a mile could be less than ideal. The weight he carries is no issue as he is such a powerful, big horse and, the way he travels against very smart horses, he should not come off the bridle here at odds-against.

7.10 Naas: Neon Eyes
There is almost nothing between Amrum and Neon Eyes on Gowran form, when there was a surprising gamble on Siskin’s half-brother, for all that he was running off 57. Keithen Kennedy is a fine booking for the Cromwell runner, who is getting there and should go very well at each-way prices.
8.10 Naas: Elmakaya
A frustrating second when I tipped her at this venue last time, she looks to have big claims here in the cheekpieces. The yard is in form, she was well-backed here on latest and perhaps the headgear’s addition suggests Dermot Weld thinks there is more there.
