Johnny Ward's Irish Angle: Our Roxane has huge chance at Tramore

A cracking crowd at Leopardstown on Thursday night saw Madhmoon win in workmanlike fashion and word of Deirdre's likely involvement makes the forthcoming QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes, the first to be televised on Racing TV, really intriguing.
Before that we have three meetings this weekend. Tramore's crowd on will hopefully not be hindered by the All-Ireland hurling final in progress, though punters there wanting to watch what might be a classic will be catered for.
Rain has changed the going at many of the Irish tracks, but it remains pretty decent ground at Tramore, where there are two meets this weekend. Best of luck.

This will take very little winning and this Flemensfirth-bred has a huge chance after an excellent run at Limerick last time for Terence O'Brien.
She is lightly raced for her age and has had only one start for this trainer over the two-mile distance.

Tramore's fences are relatively easy to negotiate and Linger should win barring mistakes.
He has thrived for Joseph O'Brien, though his lack of experience is a negative here. His evident well-being is not.
