Here are three for Sunday but make sure to keep an eye on ground conditions, especially at Flat headquarters.
It's a potential concern for my second selection, who otherwise could be very favourably handicapped.
Be lucky.
2.30 Curragh: Micromoon
This No Nay Never filly is bred to progress and looks a certainty to. Though she'd run in a barrier trial, she was still sluggish out of the stalls at Gowran, and did well to get handy enough, doing much the best of them bar the high-rated winner. She should be hard to beat here given how her trainer's progress with the debut run behind them.
3.40 Curragh: Jon Riggens
This horse could be a cut above these. Formerly trained Sean Hennessy, he showed decent maiden form, second in one at Tipperary last time with Swift Flight third. He has joined Eddie Lynam, who excels with sprinters, and Shane Cross has a superb record for the stable. The only concern might be if it turned very soft.
4.20 Downpatrick: Howyated
It's hard to make much of a case for the bulk of these and the Califet-bred is interesting on a couple of counts. Kevin Sexton takes over and he gave a really good account at Ballinrobe last time, forfeiting ground out wide in front but jumping well until falling two out, still leading. This track will surely be ideal and he may be hard to reel in.
