Irish racing tips: Johnny Ward's best bets for Tuesday

JP McManus had a fantastic winner in Saint Roi on Monday, and it looks like the County Limerick native will have a good day again on Tuesday, including at his local track.

You may have seen my interview (watch below) with Michael Hourigan on Racing TV over the Christmas. It took place at a media launch promoting Limerick in December and there was no getting away from the trainer's regard for The Connector, one of my four selections.

JP McManus won the race Tekao made his Irish debut in at Fairyhouse with Comfort Zone who then finished just over six lengths behind Lossiemouth at Fairyhouse on his next outing.

It looked as though Tekao really needed the experience there, but he has lots of pace and should be much wiser here for a team with an incredible depth of high-class juveniles.

There was plenty to take from Asluckwouldhaveit’s handicap debut at Thurles and he is worth siding with here.

Paudie Roche is doing well with his string so far this season and Aine O'Connor is an eye-catching booking.

It is rare you get contenders with much in hand in races like this. Panda Boy badly lacks experience over fences, but it is telling he hacked up over hurdles here 12 months ago and if he can get into a rhythm, he should finish with a rattle and go close.

This is a fine-looking horse by Walk In The Park and, given his inexperience, his handicap debut was very promising. With his stable having a good campaign, he is the bet of the day on Tuesday.
