Defending champion Inothewayurthinkin will sport first-time cheekpieces among a field of 11 in the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The eight-year-old has run three lacklustre races so far this season but reports of some sparkling homework in recent weeks have reignited enthusiasm for his chances.
Gavin Cromwell had initially expressed doubts about his participation after he took a heavy fall at the Dublin Racing Festival but he has been the subject of plenty of market support in the build up.
Three of the first four from the King George at Christmas will lock horns once more in Ben Pauling’s winner The Jukebox Man, Willie Mullins’ Gaelic Warrior and the Nicky Henderson-trained Jango Baie.
Haiti Couleurs will aim to add the Gold Cup to the Irish and Welsh Nationals he has already won while Grey Dawning represents the Dan and Harry Skelton combination.
Festival regular Envoi Allen, Firefox, Gold Tweet for France, L’Homme Presse and Spillane’s Tower complete the field while Affordale Fury was not declared.
A full field of 22 will go to post in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle, headed by Mullins’ Doctor Steinberg.
Paul Nolan’s Thedeviluno, Gordon Elliott’s Spinningayarn and Cromwell’s The Passing Wife give Ireland a strong hand.
The home team consists of Pauling’s Mondoui’boy, Joe Tizzard’s Kripticjim and Skelton’s Moneygarrow, among others.
Dinoblue will face eight rivals as she attempts to win the Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase, with Panic Attack also there.
There are 20 in the JCB Triumph Hurdle with market leaders Proactif, Macho Man, Maestro Conti and Minella Study all declared.
There is a full field of 24 in the William Hill County Hurdle with the weights headed by Ndaawi, while the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle is also full, as is the Princess Royal Challenge Cup Open Hunters’ Chase.
