Horse racing tips: "This looks to be his chance"

Our pundit and resident website tipster Dave Nevison likes a couple on the all-weather and believes one contender might be well-named at Haydock Park. Enjoy more jumps action from Huntingdon live on Racing TV.
5.00 Haydock: HECOULDBETHEONE
He's been a beaten favourite three times recently off the same mark as this one and he needs to bounce back from his latest effort, which was a little disappointing.
But Hecouldbetheone ran really well last November after a five-month break - which augurs well for this race - yet he was asked to race again just 11 days after that Fontwell reappearance and that might be an explanation for his latest modest performance.
Hecouldbetheone had previously won a couple of handicaps, including his latest win last May which also came under this excellent claimer.
A first-time visor is applied here and, given that things looked to be going to plan until two-out last time, the hadgear might just help him see the race out better.
6.00 Southwell: GOZO

Finished: 8thSP: 3/1
He is fit, in good form and proven over course and distance, so this looks to be his chance in a race few can realistically be considered.
Gozo is still a maiden but has been running very consistently recently and only got run out of things by a neck last time after making the running.
All of his recent runs have been with a tongue strap and he has been tried with the cheekpieces, which are back on for this run.
A glance through his form suggests there are possible excuses as to why the headgear combination hasn’t worked as yet (needing the run, extended distance) and it could all come together here.
6.30 Southwell: CRACKING GOLD

Finished: 1stSP: 11/4
Back down to the same mark as his handicap debut last season, he can definitely win off this rating after three very sound runs and often in strong races for the grade.
Cracking Gold is yet to finish out of the frame on the all-weather and his form on synthetics is on a different level to his turf form, where he is yet to hit the places.
Cracking Gold has had a wind operation since we last saw him a month ago and, if that has brought about further improvement, he might actually be very well in.
