2.35 Ffos Las: BOLDLY

The four-year-old is still a maiden but has been running consistently well this season for trainer George Boughey and now takes a big drop down in grade from his latest start in a 0-95 event at
was beaten less than a length into third there and might well have improved for the application of cheekpieces, which hopefully might help again this time.
He certainly stays this trip and has a decent amateur in Ned Sangster - who did us a favour recently - claiming 5lbs so this modest race could be the one for Boldly to break his maiden.

4.00 Catterick: ONE OF OUR OWN

He’s a modest sprinter but one in good form for trainer Rebecca Menzies at present and he can confirm recent form with Quercus, who he beat by just half a length over course and distance two starts ago.
is 2lb worse off here but, given that there is likely to be a very strong pace, this race might well pan out better for the four-year-old.
He ran a good race under a penalty when fourth in an apprentices’ event at under this rider, who can claim an extra 2lb here. Hopefully the run of good form will continue.

5.47 Chelmsford: BEAUTIFUL CROWN

Rider Megan Jordan is having an excellent time of things, and with five winners from 15 rides so far this year she is clearly a potent force in restricted races such as this.
Beautiful Crown has already won one amateur riders event and looks to be an improved performer. Jack Jones’ gelding is certainly proving very consistent and, though he lost all chance when missing the break by five lengths last time, still managed to get himself into second place at the line.
This 10-furlong distance is his trip, while one of his two wins have come on the all-weather this year.
