Horse racing tips for Sunday: Angus McNae's best bets

This mare ran a blinder in Class 3 company last time out to finish third behind the useful Shobiz, and the drop in grade here should enable her to win this.

She won here last season and looks capable of bullying her rivals in this Class 5 contest. She will probably be sent off favourite, but that sums up her excellent chance of gaining a second win at Salisbury.

This mare showed much improved form over hurdles when winning last time out at Roscommon and having not been with this shrewd yard for long, she is clearly open to improvement.

The five-year-old won that race comfortably off a rating of 91, and in a weak novice hurdle here, she looks capable of continuing her progress.

She has plenty of speed, too, so will be well suited by this sharp track.

This twice-raced filly has shaped with plenty of promise in two starts and promises to improve a good deal now she steps up in trip.

She is clearly highly thought of, given some of the fancy entries that she holds, and this race should be within her scope.

The daughter of Frankel was sent of as the odds-on favourite on her seasonal reappearance and ran well, despite a wide trip, and that experience will not be lost on her here.

There is surely more to come from this gelding after his win at Wolverhampton last time out.

He overcame a positional disadvantage there, with the steady pace against him, and did well to find another gear in the final furlong to get up and score.

Trainer James Ferguson has had a good season, with 17 winners on the scoresheet already, and he has done well with recruits from Chris Wall's yard. Savrola should go very close here.
