Horse racing tips: Dave Nevison's best bets for Wednesday

There are some good-quality fields on Wednesday, and I am looking forward to an afternoon on the channel guiding viewers through the racing action at Beverley, which has been kind to me this summer, so hopefully it will continue to be a lucky track this week! Best of luck.

Melody King is in good form at the moment and showed last time that he can definitely win off this mark when an unlucky third at Hamilton.

Although he is now rated higher than his latest win, he was running off a mark 7lb higher this time last year, so there is plenty of scope in his rating.

John Quinn has booked Oisin Murphy on Wednesday and the champion jockey rides this course and distance better than most.

His draw in stall nine means the pace is lined up on the inside of him, so it seems unlikely he will meet traffic problems in this contest. A stiff five furlongs he faces here also seems to suit well.

The visor seemed to work much better second time when he stayed on nicely in a similar race to this last time out.

He was definitely doing his best work at the finish, so looks likely to appreciate the extra furlong here, and his dam won up to 1m6f.

A strong pace looks assured in this competitive field and from stall three, Italian Breeze should find himself ideally placed to pounce late. Jedd O’Keeffe has his runners in very good form as well.
