Horse racing tips: Dave Nevison's four best bets for Saturday

Dave Nevison has four bets for the racing action at Newbury and Warwick on Saturday, live on Racing TV.
Has been working himself back to fitness on the flat and over too short a trip over hurdles recently, but he might well be poised to go well now, especially with his yard seemingly hitting top form again after a quiet spell.
He has been dropping down the handicap, too, and now finds himself on a very winnable mark having dropped a stone below his peak.
A competitive, well-run race is what he needs and as long as he doesn’t find himself too far back, I expect him to be making good progress in the straight and hopefully he will be close enough to get involved in the finish.
The headgear is back on here (it was left off last time he ran over jumps) and hopefully that, and general improved fitness, will sharpen him up for this contest.
Only seven runners in this handicap, which is something I try to avoid, but options are limited this weekend. Fine Casting did us a favour at Newbury last time out, and in pretty good style, too, and doesn’t look to have much more to do here to score again.
Like Newbury, Warwick is a rhythm course, possibly even more so, and Fine Casting got into a really good rhythm last time plus impressed with his jumping.
If he does the same here, he may have too much class for his rivals. The trainer-jockey combo of Ben Pauling and Kielan Woods has been going well in February, despite only recording one win, as several horses have run well to get places.
There is rain around on Saturday and any rain that does fall will be an advantage to Celebre D’allen, who certainly performs well in the mud.
He has won two races over hurdles pretty comfortably on his two starts following a lengthy absence in this country for Philip Hobbs and looks to be seriously well-handicapped on some of the figures he produced, largely at Auteuil, a couple of seasons ago.
Placed in Listed company, as well as being a winner over fences, he may well be too old to reach top-grade handicaps, but this level certainly looks achievable.
Ran really well to be third in this race last year off the same mark he is on now and can go well again here for a team that is in form, plus absolutely no stranger to success in this contest.
His effort 12 months ago came following a three-month absence and he will be fresh for this race, too. I expect he has been rested and prepared for this after it became clear that a switch to chasing hadn’t really worked out this season.
He has not gone on over fences after a promising start, but will be happier here, and the race will be run at a fast pace which suits him perfectly. Ground conditions are also ideal.
