With the meeting at Musselburgh called off, Dave Nevison has switched his focus to the all-weather on Thursday
1.15 Southwell: Slowmo at a general 11-4
Is in very good form and was narrowly beaten by an improving three-year-old here last time out and meets nothing of similar calibre on Thursday.
Slowmo has bagged a good draw in stall 1 and is off the same mark. Also, Cieren Fallon is an interesting booking for a yard who nowadays have plenty of winners at this time of year.

1.45 Southwell: Motawaafeq at a general 13-8
Was always going well when breaking a long losing run and winning here last time out.
We were on that day and I am happy to be with him to follow up off just a 3lb higher mark. He had dropped a long way in the weights before that win and if he has regained confidence then might be one to be with in these early months.
2.15 Southwell: Perfect Swiss at 9-4 with Betfair and Paddy Power
It was only a four-runner race that he won last time out but he could be named the winner some way out.
This is a much better race but there are question marks against some of the opposition and he should definitely get a good pace to aim at.
He has improved with just about every recent run and although his 8½-length winning margin last time may exaggerate his superiority a 5lb penalty may not stop him.
