Angus McNae's horse racing tips for Sunday: Play the Fame game

Top presenter Angus McNae has posted over £92 in level stakes profit with his website tips since May 2018 and has four fancies for Sunday. Enjoy an excellent Curragh card and all the action from Nottingham live on Racing TV.
The cold and wet weather is playing havoc with our sport, and at a time when we should be seeing fast horses skip off fast ground and run slick times - doing what they are bred to do – we are instead watching them slog through the mud buffeted by strong winds.
Such conditions make things very tricky for punters, but we have a tremendous card nevertheless at the Curragh on Sunday. I have three selections there and another at Nottingham.
I am a massive fan of this horse. He could have been a Derby winner with a better trip at Epsom a few years ago, while he is three from three over 10 furlongs this season.
While he’s been doing just enough on every occasion this term, he’s still been running fast. Indeed, his raw Timeform speed figure of 123 here last time out is a standout in this race.
Broome handles soft ground and, while many have been crying out for him to step up in trip, he is undoubtedly top class at this distance and will take the world of beating here.
Pretty Gorgeous is head and shoulders above her rivals on what she achieved last season.
While somewhat vulnerable to improvers, she has quite simply already shown that she is the fastest here. Her fast time when landing the Fillies’ Mile last season was particularly impressive, and it’s worth noting that she had the 1000 Guineas winner Mother Earth back in third.
This filly is at her best with some ease in the ground and those prevailing conditions will help her while hindering some of her rivals. Joan of Arc is a big danger as she is improving rapidly, but she needs to make a huge step forward to bother this filly.
I think this horse is better than he has shown so far in three starts and everything looks in place for a big run here.
Imperial Sun hinted at his raw talent on his second start when finishing fourth at Kempton - a most eye-catching effort – and while he did not step forward last time he now runs in a handicap for the first time. A mark of 77 surely underestimates his ability.
He has plenty of stamina in his pedigree and stepping up to 10 furlongs for the first time looks certain to suit.
His excellent second here last time signalled that success in a similar race is forthcoming, while he looks well treated from a mark of 97.
That Curragh performance was on decent ground and conditions will be very different here, but he has won at Punchestown on soft ground and should be able to handle conditions.
Dylan Browne McMonagle rides and claims five pounds which is equine robbery. In my opinion, he is as good if not better than many professional jockeys.
