Two winners from four selections in my Sunday column last week helped continue the fine form of the racingtv.com tipsters in recent weeks, and hopefully we can keep the ball rolling this weekend.
I have two selections at Naas, and two at Sandown where the next leg of the popular Sky Bet Sunday Series takes centre stage. Best of luck, and don’t forget to watch both meetings live on Racing TV.
Ger Lyons has his horses in very good form and this filly can take the transition to handicaps in her stride.
She beat colts and fillies when bolting up to break her maiden last time out and starts life off in handicaps off a rating of 88 against her own sex, so she makes a good deal of appeal.
She made all at Leopardstown in a decent time and she has been sent off a short-priced favourite on each of her four starts, so is clearly well thought of. In a modest contest, she should be backed with confidence.
Two of this gelding’s three career wins have been at Sandown and, given that he arrives here in good form, another victory at this track seems likely.
He showed himself to be in the form of his life when finishing an excellent second off a mark of 79 at Goodwood last time out and has been raised 3lb following that effort.
However, he looks capable of running well again here, particularly as there is rain forecast and he seems to show his best on good or easier ground.
He drops from a class three last time to a class four now and should go very well again at a track that clearly suits him, with conditions likely to be in his favour.
This son of Camelot was impressive when winning on his debut in a fast time at Leopardstown and he holds a Group Three entry later in the year.
He won a barrier trial in good style at Dundalk before his debut win which was attained in smooth fashion. He travelled well and then stayed on strongly to win by three and a half lengths and it looks as if there will be more improvement to come.
Joseph O’Brien continues to fire in the winners and I would be surprised if his charge does not provide the yard with another winner, as he could easily prove to be a cut above his rivals.
This horse is chalked up at a general 11-1 and is worth supporting at that price.
He has some solid form to his name, including a second to Twilight Calls at Newmarket, which reads well, as does his latest effort at Ascot where he was a close-up fifth to the useful Tis Marvellous.
He is a tough and genuine type who likes to lead and, from his draw in stall three, he should be able to grab the rail and may well take some pegging back.
He seems to be an ideal type for Silvestre De Sousa who has partnered his mount just once before, and the four-year-old produced a career-best effort on that occasion.
