Graham Clark shares his three best bets on Wednesday, with two selections from Nottingham and one from Warwick. Watch both meetings live on Racing TV.
4.18 Nottingham: Something Splendid
Peter Chapple-Hyam is yet to send out a winner this year, however Something Splendid could be the horse to change that.
Having blown away the cobwebs in a warm ten-furlong handicap at Newbury last month, this looks a much more realistic task for his second start of the campaign.
The handicapper has eased him for his latest defeat down to a mark of 74, which is 2lb below the last mark he won off at Doncaster.
He is clearly at home with a bit of ease in the ground, and with promise of showers around, he looks poised to run a big race.
4.48 Nottingham: Barbury Boy
Barbury Boy tasted defeat as an odds-on favourite last time out at Haydock Park, but he is worth giving another chance to now dropped back down in trip.
Having made a winning return over ten furlongs at Beverley, the son of Oasis Dream found his stamina stretched over a mile and a half last time out, despite moving into the race well.
The form of his Beverley win has worked out well with the runner-up since scoring twice, and judging by his comeback win, Barbury Boy is fancied to resume his progression back over a more suitable distance.
9.00 Warwick: Theonlywayiswessex
Theonlywayiswessex might only have two wins to his name over fences, however this looks a good opportunity to add to that tally.
The Alan King-trained eight-year-old ran a respectable race over course and distance last month to finish second behind a race fit rival on what was his first start in 256 days.
It was only late on that he was found wanting on that occasion, and with the benefit of that run in the bag, he can go one better against a number of rivals who appear hard to win with.
