RaceiQ analyst Page Fuller makes the case for one in the King George Qatar Stakes on Friday after two winners from two selections on Wednesday - catch the whole meeting live on Racing TV.
In the King George Stakes (3.05), Big Mojo should be a force to be reckoned with and can reproduce the form of his Molecomb Stakes victory over this course and distance last year.
He has been campaigned more recently over six furlongs, but the return to the minimum five-furlong sprint distance will be the making of him today.
He is not short of speed, as he demonstrated in the Molecomb, clocking 45.28 mph in the second furlong. This is just as impressive as it sounds, considering only three other horses in the race today have clocked quicker top speeds on the track.
His 0-20mph time of 1.91 seconds at Royal Ascot in June is clearly rapid, but also the fastest 0-20mph any horse in this race has clocked. His 0-20mph of 2.08 seconds in the July Cup last time was also the fastest time from the stalls recorded by any horse at the whole three-day July Festival.
The reason why this is so significant, is because the strike rate of winning horses which clocked the quickest 0-20mph of the race is far higher over five furlongs at Goodwood than compared to any Turf track across Britain and Ireland as a whole.
Big Mojo has speed to burn in all areas and that can prove key here.
