Glorious Goodwood day three World Pool preview: a tip for every race

Kaan Ki Tukri could outrun his odds for Clive Cox who has a fine record in this 1200m (6f) race, but he's held on the Coventry Stakes form by several of these, most notably runner-up ADAAY OF SCARLETT. The Hugo Palmer-trained colt was also ahead of Cut A Dash and Night In Vegas that day, and has since run well in defeat in the July Stakes. Two of the last four winners of this race were beaten in the Coventry, and he looks good value to see off the unbeaten Flann Sunna who comes here with a big reputation. 

Last-time-out handicap winners (notably the King George V at Royal Ascot) have a good record when stepping up to Group company in a 2400m (12f) race where only two of the last 12 winners had a Group win to their name. ENCELADUS is on a steep upward curve and is fancied to become the fifth in nine years, at the main expense of Geryon who has a penalty for his win at Leopardstown last time out, and Derby fourth Bay Of Brilliance, who has his sights lowered after a poor run on testing ground in Germany last time. 

All of Aidan O'Brien's six Nassau winners were three-year-olds, and this year's 115-rated Ballydoyle favourite Diamond Necklace fits the profile of recent winners; 10 of the last 12 had a rating of 111 or higher. However, she wasn't impressive when scraping home in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly last time and may need to improve again to see off fellow Group 1 winner FRIENDLY SOUL who has a bit to do at these weights but shaped as if ready for this step back up in trip to 2000m (10f) when a gallant third at Royal Ascot last month. See The Fire, second and third in the last two renewals of this race, should bounce back now against her own sex, but the progressive Botagoz, whose Newcastle win has been franked by runner-up Dancing Rain, could be as big a danger. 

In a 1000m (5f) race sharing the name of an Andrew Balding-trained sprinter, it would be no surprise to see an improved effort from that yard's Old Is Gold who has only had one start so far this season, however preference is for QUANTUM POWER who has been a revelation this season and his come-from-behind style means that he might still be ahead of the handicapper. Noble Vow's last run can be ignored (saddle slipped) and he looks a big danger, along with Truly Glamorous, One And Gone, Schrodinger's Cat and Naana's Shadow who are all enjoying fine seasons. 

A 1400m (7f) handicap for two-year-olds that has no stand-out candidate, but MIA FANTASIA doesn't look badly treated for her first start in this sphere and is narrowly preferred to last-time-out winners Wise And Wonderful and Shadow King. The mount of Ryan Moore, The Bookkeeper, is also high on any shortlist, with the return to this distance likely to suit after a two-month break.

The favourite (or joint-favourite) has won this 1400m (7f) maiden in each of the last five renewals, so the top of the market looks the place to focus on. Although Elevating and Clarity have both shown plenty to work with, So Lovely is likely to head it following a strong start at Leopardstown, but this daughter of the 1000 Guineas and Oaks winner Love may not be totally suited by the drop in distance, so the value might lie with one of the newcomers. La Torre, La Bassette and State Of America all make some appeal, but SIENA STORM's sales price rose markedly at the breeze-up sales and she is fancied to make a winning turf debut as her dam did a few years ago. 

The booking of Colin Keane for EUSTON HALL in this 1600m (8f) handicap looks significant; given a break since failing in a hat-trick bid here in June, he's fancied to get back to winning ways. Exclusive Code rates better than he could show at Royal Ascot (drawn on the wrong side), while Runswick and Electric Dreams are both expected to improve upon recent wins in lesser company. Towards the bottom of the weights, Dumuji can take a step forward from his handicap debut at Windsor where he was held up at a course that favours prominent racers.
